Indie rock band, benches, performed one of the last nights of their sold-out west coast tour at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana, CA.

The crowd showed up early and packed the small venue Thursday night waiting for San Diego indie-rock band, Buddha Trixie, to open as a supporting act. Although the band put on an energetic performance, the crowd did not engage. It was impressive that the band's drummer was also the lead singer. It takes a lot of talent to be able to drum and sing at the same time.

benches arrived on stage ready to rock a sold-out show. The four members: Anson Kelley (vocals/guitar), Evan Ojeda (lead guitar), Ethan Bowers (drums), and Charlie Baird (bass), were ready and eager to start off their performance. They opened up to a less than energetic crowd. After a few songs, the crowd finally started to warm up and move a little.

A few concertgoers started crowd-surfing halfway through their set.  benches performed their popular hits “Monodrama'' and “It Doesn’t Have To Change.” Even though the band only has one album, they’ve had success with all their singles. Overall, the band put on an energizing performance that’ll have them succeed with their next tour.

The band recently released their new single, Crash, which is now available on all streaming platforms. To keep up with benches, you can follow them on Spotify and Instagram
