Indie-pop band, The Walters, sold out their show at the Observatory in Santa Ana – their first show back in California in seven years.

The Walters, originally from Chicago, Illinois, consists of five members: Lead vocalist Luke Olson, lead guitarist Walter Kosner, guitarist & vocals, MJ Tirabassi, bassist- Danny Wells, and drummer Charlie Ekhaus. The band originally formed back in 2014 but later broke up in 2017. However, in 2021, their song I Love You So blew up on TikTok and got the attention of hundreds of thousands of people. Following the success of their song, the band managed to regroup and eventually signed with Warner Records.

Opening the night was indie-pop duo, Cayucas. The band from Santa Monica, CA, is made up of twin brothers – vocalist Zach Yudin & guitarist Ben Yudin. Cayucas captivated the younger audience in attendance with their performance from beginning to end. The band recently released their new single Rollin’ which is now available for streaming.

The Walters shortly came after. From the moment the band walked on stage, nothing could have prepared me for how energetic they were. Before starting their first song, vocalist Luke Olson pumped up the crowd by starting with a few warm-up push-ups and stretches, which got screams and cheers from the audience. Throughout the band's whole performance, Olson charmingly won over the audience with his dancing and constant reaching out to the audience from the stage. As the night went on, the band eventually played I Love You So which got the entire crowd to sing and light up the room. Olson spent the whole night running up and down the stage singing his heart out to the sold-out room.

Towards the end of the show, the band invited a familiar fan up to the stage. The next day the band uploaded a heartfelt post on Instagram dedicated to this fan that you can view here. This act of kindness shows that The Walters truly appreciate the support and love from their fans.

The band ended the night closing out with Hunk Beach. Overall the band's performance was phenomenal and energetic, leaving Orange County fans wanting more.
